Rotary St@dttour Springe

In 1855 the Treasurer of Springe served the customers of the newly founded Springe Savings Bank in his private home. He kept his clients’ money in a city treasury chest, which can be seen today in the local museum. The first branch was not opened until 1902 in the old Town Hall. In 1944 the County Savings Bank, founded in 1911, merged with the City Savings Bank. After further mergers (in 1975 and 2003) Springe’s Saving Bank is today called Sparkasse Hannover. They are committed to both regional and local needs. As an economic engine they understand their major task in improving conditions in the region, providing a positive future and ensuring a qualitiy life.
