Nordeon is a new innovative European Lighting company with over 60 years of experience in lighting. Nordeon was founded in October of 2012 with the acquisition of Philips' professional luminaire manufacturing and development site in Springe, Germany. In December 2012 the Nordeon group was further expanded with the acquisition of Philips' professional lamps manufacturing site in Chalon, France and in November 2013 with the Philips plant in Dijon.
Since 1974 the AEG Gealux continuous-row lighting system have been developed and produced at the highest quality level in Springe. 20 years later Philips acquired the AEG luminaire branch, continuing the production of the best-selling lighting system. In 2009 sales operations were consolidated in Hamburg, but the manufacturing and distribution for the German, Austrian and Swiss markets remain in Springe.
As one of the biggest manufacturers of LED products in Europe, Nordeon emphasizes the development and production of lighting systems for industrial and commercial customers, continuing the tradition in the third generation. The Vulkan brand adds exterior lighting to Nordeon’s portfolio.
